When I moved to Cobb County, a decade ago, my father-in-law introduced me to the local art centers. I started teaching a few classes, and in doing so, met so many wonderful artists in my new community! It was the best way to get to know my new neighbors, and to find others who share my interests. Now, I teach more classes, and I've expanded my business.
Teaching others to paint is my passion.
I also rent an art studio at the Artisan Resource Center, in Marietta, where I get to paint, make messes, and just enjoy my craft. I share my space with my very good friend, Gerrie Lowell, who is a quilter and an artist.
Each year, I try to create opportunities to get all of my artist friends in one room, so that old friends can meet new friends, and our art community can continue to grow. Before 2020, we had holiday parties, and in the last couple of years, I've hosted gallery shows at the Artisan Resource Center. I am so thankful for this artist's life.
